Pinehurst Medical Clinic in Southern Pines is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across locations. You will escort patients, measure vital signs, document in charts, schedule appointments, greet patients, and register them in care areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on charts.
• Coordinate and provide patient support such as scheduling appointments, answering telephones, greeting patients and registering them.
• Run spirometry tests and EKGs and assist Primary Care Physicians during examinations.
• Review patient records for completeness of labs, imaging, and reports.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and equipment is working; order supplies as needed.
• Call for pre-certifications and facilitate referrals with patient accounts and secretary.
• Work between secretary and nursing staff to maintain patient flow.
• Perform duties within the medical/clinic assistant scope of practice.
