Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care by greeting patients, recording vital signs, and preparing exam rooms in a busy clinic setting. You will coordinate scheduling, answer phones, and register patients to keep the flow efficient.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification, CPR/BLS certification, and ideally one year of clinic experience. Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with hourly pay and EEO compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and chief complaint on patient flow sheet.
• Run spirometry tests and EKGs and assist physicians during exams.
• Review patient records and ensure completeness of ordered studies.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and equipment working; order supplies as needed.
• Coordinate referrals and assist with scheduling and patient communications.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow between secretary and nursing staff.
• Perform duties within medical/clinic assistants' scope of practice.
