Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic in Pinehurst, NC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Call Center team onsite.

You will triage patient questions, schedule appointments, document in the EMR, and coordinate with providers to support patient care. This is a day shift, Monday through Friday, non-exempt, with a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Previous CMA experience in outpatient settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified CMA per NC statutes.
• CPR certification required within the first 90 days.
• Two years’ CMA experience in outpatient setting preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding and medical necessity.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient calls, triage clinical questions, and schedule appointments.
• Document in the EMR and coordinate referrals with care teams.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with basic clerical tasks.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect patient rights.
• Ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly stocked and functional.
