Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and administrative tasks. You will escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and help with scheduling and registering patients in the care area.

Responsibilities include performing spirometry and EKGs, reviewing records for completeness of lab and imaging studies, ensuring rooms are stocked, and coordinating referrals to keep patient flow smooth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with related experience optional.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification required or obtainable.
• CPR/BLS certification current or able to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and chief complaint for the visit on the patient flow sheet.
• Run spirometry tests and EKGs and assist physicians during exams.
• Review records to ensure lab, x-ray, ECG, GI, CT, bronchoscopy and ER data are complete.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and equipment in working order, order supplies as needed.
• Coordinate pre-certifications and referrals with patient accounts and secretary.
• Maintain smooth patient flow between secretary and nursing staff.
• Work within the medical/clinic assistants scope of practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
