Job summary

Sentara Medical Group- Pediatric Physicians Camelot Clinic in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our pediatric team. You will support providers and coordinate patient care in a welcoming environment for children and families.

The role offers up to a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates, with clinic hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Day Shift). Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current, unexpired CMA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Overview

Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM | Day Shift

Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

• Less than a year of related experience is required
• Previous Certified Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or ambulatory care setting, with pediatric experience strongly preferred.

Education

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required

Certification/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
