Sentara Medical Group—Family Medicine Providence Clinic in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The role involves patient care, administrative tasks, and supporting providers in a fast-paced primary care setting.

A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available for qualified candidates. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional 7:00 AM starts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Current, unexpired CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization.
• Less than a year of related experience is required; 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

This position offers up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates.

Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Day Shift (Occasional 7:00am start times required)

Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
