Sentara Internal Medicine Physicians – 1080 First Colonial clinic in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support providers, deliver hands-on patient care, and assist with clinical procedures in a day shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM). The position offers up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus and belongs to Sentara Medical Group.

Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Day Shift

Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

• Less than a year of related experience is required
• One (1) year of clinical experience, preferably in Endocrinology, specialty physician practice or primary care is preferred

Education

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required

Certification/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization

We provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
