Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate and successful completion of a Medical Assistant Training Program.
• Certification is required with approved certifications (e.g. CMA, NRCMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA).
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners and other clinical staff in delivery of patient care services.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; sterilize medical instruments.
• Arrange examining room instruments, maintain supplies and equipment; keep rooms neat and clean.
• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and recording medical history.
• Prepare patients for examination by taking vitals and reporting history.
• Document patient history and visit purpose; support accurate patient records.
• Support communication with patients and staff to improve patient experience and efficiency.
