Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Ambulatory Services | General Surgery in Upper Arlington seeks a certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical and administrative support, assisting physicians, nurses and staff in patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, collecting specimens, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining orderly exam rooms to support a positive patient experience and efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with completed Medical Assistant Training Program.
• Medical Assistant certification required: CMA, NRCMA, RMA, CCMA or NCMA.
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, providers, nurses and staff in patient care.
• Prepare patients for examinations and take basic vital signs.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain clean, organized exam rooms.
• Verify patient information and document medical history accurately.
