Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care and assist physicians and nurses in routine examinations and treatments.

You will room patients, document vitals, interview patients and prepare them for procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in examinations, drawing samples, and performing routine lab tests in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one of the listed options.
• Diploma from a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent experience.
• Military Medic or EMT-P training or combined experience/education.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs.
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures; assist with procedures.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare treatment rooms.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
