Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, including pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, with an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, ARMA. Alternatively, relevant work experience or graduation from an accredited nursing program is acceptable, with experience including clinical and administrative duties.
  • Experience: Previous work in a medical office preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current certification or ability to obtain within 6 months as CMA, RMA, or CCMA; required. Current State Driver's License (Palliative Care Only) required.
  • Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing.
