Qualifications

• Graduate or certificate from a recognized medical assisting program.
• HS diploma or GED plus one year of MA experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude toward problem-solving.

Responsabilités

• Assist the provider at an ambulatory care site with patient visits and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and collect specimens.
• Document care in the EPIC EMR system.
• Room patients and manage efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
