Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the provider at an ambulatory site. You will facilitate patient visits, assist with procedures, perform routine lab tests, and help manage referrals and quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a MA certificate or HS diploma with relevant experience, certification within 6 months, strong communication, teamwork, and a friendly, problem-solving mindset. Epic EMR documentation is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program or a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider's caseload.
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
• Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient's chief complaint and available protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
