Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support an ambulatory health care site by facilitating patient visits and procedures, performing routine labs, and coordinating referrals. You will participate in quality outcomes initiatives and document care using the EPIC EMR system.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with teammates, communicate effectively, and approach problem-solving with a positive attitude. Certification within 6 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate or certificate from a recognized medical assisting program, or a HS diploma/GED with MA experience in the past three years.
• MA certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas, including cleaning and stocking of supplies, and assist with patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in ambulatory care settings to facilitate patient visits and procedures.
• Handle routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the practice population.
• Document care using the EPIC EMR system and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
• Participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.
