Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program.
• High School Diploma or GED + one year of MA experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider of an ambulatory health care site with patient visits and procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests, EKGs, and specimen collection as needed.
• Process referrals and medication refills and document care in the EPIC EMR.
• Participate in Network quality initiatives and improve best practices.
