The role you’ll contribute:

The Medical Assistant provides appropriate care to patients within the scope of Florida Statutes Title XXXII: Regulations of Professionals and Occupations, Chapter 458. Medical Assistants assist in various aspects of medical practice under the supervision and responsibility of a physician. Responsibilities may include patient care management, administrative, and clinical procedures. In all practice endeavors, the Medical Assistant will adhere to ethical and professional standards.

• Reviews appointment bookings in advance and ensures patients receive appointment reminders.
• Verifies and validates insurance prior to the appointment date.
• Completes check-in process, securing copays and balances.
• Verifies that consent forms are completed and up to date.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (condition of employment)
• Certified or registered Medical Assistant certification from an AdventHealth approved certifying body
