Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse ensures individualized, high-quality, safe patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. They practice within the scope of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics, and uphold system policies, procedures, and service excellence goals.

1. Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
   • Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and individualized care.
   • Provides relationship-based, patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity.
   • Partners with patients and significant others, utilizing effective communication methods and focusing on patient goals.
2. Teamwork and Collaboration
   • Coordinates safe, quality care, promotes respectful interdisciplinary communication, and ensures timely documentation.

Minimum Education

Associate's Degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (Single State) upon hire
• RN - Multi-state Compact upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• BLS Instructor and Provisional BLS required

Experience

Less than 1 year of clinical experience required. Direct patient care experience preferred.
