USGP has an opportunity for a CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT to provide services to our military service members, their families, and veterans with the FAMILY HEALTH DEPARTMENT at MAC DILL AIR FORCE BASE, TAMPA, FL.

Benefits:

1. Competitive Pay – $18.00 + Health and Welfare Stipend

4. Schedule: M-F 0700-1630

Qualifications:

1. Degree/Education: Graduate from an accredited medical assistant training program by CAAHEP or ABHES, or a formal medical services training program of the U.S. Armed Forces
2. Certifications: Active BLS through American Heart Association or military program, in addition to basic life support
3. Experience: Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience post-graduation
4. Board Certification: Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration by the American Medical Technologists
5. Licensure/Registration: Not applicable

Job Duties:

• Prepare examination rooms prior to patient arrival
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Check patient's vital signs including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter
• Obtain and document patient's medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs
• Perform diagnostic procedures as needed
• Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic protocols
• Enter demographic data and diagnoses into the computer system
