Under the direction of healthcare providers, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for delivering patient care that promotes safety and well-being. Key duties include:
Education and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid CMA certification or RMA, if applicable. Completion of Medication Aide 40-hour course or current certification, if applicable. BLS or ACLS certification required.
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood, administer injections; effective communication skills; knowledge of exam, diagnostic, and treatment procedures; proficiency in medical terminology; sound judgment in emergencies; positive attitude; computer skills; strong work ethic and professionalism.
