Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, collect health history, and support clinicians during examinations in our Schaumburg, IL office. You will perform vital signs, assist with procedures, and handle lab testing including EKGs and glucose checks.

Some travel to nearby clinics may be required. Eligible candidates should have a Medical Assistant certification and CPR, with phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or health sciences courses.
  • Active medical assistant certification may be required.
  • CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire.
  • Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire may be required.
  • 2 years of prior experience in a medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with registration and scheduling.

  • Assist with immunizations or injections when certified.
  • Assist patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks.
  • Process provider orders, update charting, and file records.
  • Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
  • Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms.
  • Travel to assist other local clinics as required.

Job description

  • Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first aid procedures.
  • Assist with immunizations or injections when certified.
  • Assist patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks.
  • Process provider orders, update charting, and file records.
  • Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
  • Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms.
  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
  • Travel to assist other local clinics as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
  • Active medical assistant certification may be required through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA for several clinical specialties.
  • CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
  • May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.
  • Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
