Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. You will collect vital signs, obtain patient history, reconcile medications, and support efficient patient flow using the EPIC electronic health record.

Responsibilities include scheduling, processing medication requests, and coordinating tests and procedures. After competency, you may perform EKGs, lab tests, injections, and phlebotomy, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred; certification from AAMA/AMT/NAHP/NCCT/AAMP is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills; EMR experience a plus.

  • Upon successful completion of clinical competency, perform EKGs, lab tests, injections, and/or phlebotomy
  • Support providers and ensure efficient patient care
  • Complete clinical competency assessment and MA orientation upon hire
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
  • 1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic or similar setting required, including direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting
  • Alternatively, graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on patient experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with EMR System is a plus
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • BAT and DOT certifications required for Medical Assistants in Occupational Medicine within 90 days of hire
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMP is preferred for a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Alternatively, graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current unrestricted licensure
