UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician II to support our outpatient pharmacy operations. The role involves processing prescriptions, assisting with Medication Therapy Management, and ensuring accurate dispensing under licensed supervision.

The ideal candidate has NC Board of Pharmacy registration, and may be enrolled in a PharmD program; immunization certification is preferred. Onsite work and a $5,000 incentive program over two years are offered.

Formación

• Pharmacy technician certification and NC Board of Pharmacy registration required unless enrolled in PharmD.
• CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA required unless enrolled in PharmD.
• Pharmacy intern registration may be accepted if enrolled in PharmD.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and transcribe orders under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Assist with Medication Therapy Management and related programs.
• Prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare for pick-up, delivery or shipping; manage inventory returns/credits.
• Handle patient payments and cash handling.
• Respond to customer requests not needing pharmacist judgment.
• Operate automated dispensing tech per orders.
• Order, receive, restock, rotate inventory, manage expirations.
• Contribute to process improvement projects.
