Job summary

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the Beebe School District to ensure safe, comfortable environments for students and staff.

The role requires a valid HVAC license/certification, EPA 608, and a minimum of five years of hands-on HVAC experience. CDL within six months is expected; background checks required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of HVAC apprenticeship or technical training.
• Minimum of five (5) years of HVAC installation, maintenance and repair experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required; documentation may merit stipend.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass required background checks; willing to obtain CDL within six months.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, air handlers, compressors, heat pumps, and related controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules.
• Install new HVAC systems and components as directed.
• Monitor BAS to maintain environmental conditions and energy efficiency.
• Respond to work orders and emergency service calls promptly.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs; assist with related systems as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety policies.
• Order and manage inventory of HVAC parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with custodial and admin staff to resolve comfort or air quality issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
