Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an HVAC Technician to join our facilities team, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems across school buildings. You will install upgrades and oversee preventative maintenance to ensure safe, energy-efficient environments for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid state HVAC license and EPA certification.
• At least 3 years HVAC experience; educational or commercial setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• HVAC system maintenance and repair.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, chillers, furnaces, AHUs, and vents.
• Ensure proper operation of BAS and thermostats.
• Seasonal maintenance to optimize performance.
• Install and upgrade HVAC components and ductwork in classrooms and facilities.
• Upgrade equipment for energy efficiency.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with codes, policies, and safety regulations.
• Monitor IAQ to support healthy learning environment.
• Emergency response and troubleshooting; minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with administrators and maintenance teams; document work.
