Job summary

Bridgeport Independent School District is seeking a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems across district facilities. The role requires a TDLLR Class B license, a valid Texas driver’s license, and 2 years of HVAC field experience.

Qualifications

• TDLR journeyman HVAC Class B license required
• Valid Texas driver’s license required
• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• 2 years experience in HVAC field

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC systems and equipment district-wide
• Install new HVAC systems and components; fabricate and install ductwork
• Perform preventive maintenance and energy-conservation tasks
• Receive work orders; estimate time/materials; document records
• Inspect completed work; ensure area is clean and safe
• Maintain inventory of tools and materials; track records
• Respond to emergencies as needed
