Job summary

Tishman Speyer is seeking a Certified Engineer to join our team at 407 N Maple. The role entails operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all systems, with focus on electrical, HVAC, piping, or central plant operations.

The engineer will uphold health and safety standards while creating a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Ideal candidates bring high school education, 4+ years HVAC experience, Universal CFC certification, and IUOE Local 501

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalent.
• Two years of college or related trade schooling.
• Four years’ experience in HVAC central plant operations.
• Universal CFC Certification, if required by building.
• Membership in IUOE Local 501 within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the facility in accordance with government and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, enforce, and assess safety hazards and risks.
• Record readings and adjust equipment for proper operation.
• Review monthly service summaries to address recurrent problems.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, structure, control, and fire/life safety systems.
• Respond to tenant inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist Building Management in emergencies and hazardous situations.
