Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC seeks a skilled Maintenance/Engineering technician to perform construction and upkeep of hospital facilities and equipment. Primary emphasis on mechanical systems; acts as technical advisor to other mechanics.

Requires high school diploma and 3 years in maintenance/construction, plus certification from SC Municipal Association or approved licensing board in plumbing, heating and air, or related construction; able to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years in Maintenance/Construction.
• Required Certifications/Licensure: State-approved plumbing/heating/air or general construction license.
• Required Training: Read technical service manuals and blueprints.

Responsabilités

• Makes routine and emergency repairs on mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Inspects connections and pipes for leaks and damage; replaces as needed.
• Operates building systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and fire/safety components.
• Navigate building automation software to monitor equipment status and alarms.
• Lead projects with other trades and ensure regulatory code compliance.
