Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. You will perform patient evaluation, create custom splints, and develop recovery plans for diverse upper-extremity injuries.

You will supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, fabricate orthoses, coordinate post-surgical and injury rehabilitation, and collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians and therapists to support comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients; establish plan of care.
• Directs and supervises activities of therapy staff and students.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Treat postoperative and injury rehabilitation, including scar management and return-to-work.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
