Summary

The Certified Exercise Physiologist role is responsible for interviewing and assessing patients' schedules for stress testing. Performs treadmill and pharmacological stress tests, provides preliminary interpretation, and reports on rest and stress EKGs.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or other CoAES accredited degree program required.
2. License/Certifications: Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CEP certification) required. Current BLS Certification required. Current ACLS Certification or must obtain within three months of start date. A minimum of 200 supervised tests must be performed under the immediate supervision of a current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant prior to performing stress tests independently.
3. Experience: One year of clinical or exercise physiology-related experience, training, and/or education required.
