Seeking an *experienced* orthodontic assistant.

We are seeking a Lead Orthodontic Assistant. Excellent working environment and growth opportunities.
Prior orthodontic experience is required.
The starting salary will range from $21 to $25 per hour depending on experience. There is salary growth for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Supervision and Training: Mentoring, training, and overseeing the performance of other orthodontic assistants, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Clinical Assistance: Assisting orthodontists during procedures, ensuring the proper preparation and use of equipment, and providing a smooth flow of patient care.
  • Patient Care: Educating patients and their families on treatment plans, home care instructions, and post-treatment follow-up, addressing patient concerns and questions.
  • Record Management: Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, treatment plans, and other relevant documentation.
  • Sterilization and Safety: Implementing and upholding strict sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Inventory Management :Monitoring inventory levels of orthodontic supplies, assisting with ordering, and ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Serving as a key communicator between the orthodontist, staff, and patients, addressing concerns and providing clear instructions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an orthodontic assistant, preferably with a background in dental assisting.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Clinical Skills: Thorough knowledge of orthodontic procedures, equipment, and sterilization protocols. Must be able to take diagnostic records, photos, iTero Scans and impressions.
  • Organization and Detail-Oriented: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Education: Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Saturday
  • Weekend availability
Experience:

  • Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Orthodontic Assisting: 1 year (Required)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
