Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to join their team.
The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for the advanced nutrition of residents and manages the nutrition of short term, long term, hospice, and feeding tube residents.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct initial assessments and food preference interviews for assigned residents
- Monitor progress of short and long term residents and document accordingly
- Conduct meal rounds and document residents' meal consumption and satisfaction
- Participate in wound rounds and interdisciplinary meetings
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in meal and menu planning
- Assist in planning resident meals, guiding individuals and families to food selections
- Input new resident diets, food preferences, and allergies, making changes as necessary
- Enter menus in the system and make changes as necessary
- Inspect unit pantry, dayroom, and dining room area daily to assure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation requirements and regulations
- Adhere to appropriate code of ethics
- Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality
- Perform other tasks as required by the Registered Dietitian
Skills and Abilities:
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
- Operate a computer
- Work independently with little direction
- Exhibit oral and written communication skills
- Understand principles and practices of supervision and training
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nutrition
- Certified Dietary Manager certification
