Job summary

Harborview Health Systems is seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager in Pensacola to oversee the daily operations of the food service department in a healthcare setting. You will ensure proper preparation and service of therapeutic diets in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.

The role requires prior food service management experience, knowledge of therapeutic diets, ServSafe certification, and a Certified Dietary Manager credential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service management, preferably in healthcare.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and regulatory dietary standards.
• Infection control procedures familiarity.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification.
• Certified Dietary Manager or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the food service department.
• Ensure proper preparation and service of therapeutic diets per physician orders and regulatory standards.
• Complete assigned sections of the MDS and contribute to dietary care plans.
• Plan and adjust menus to meet residents' nutritional needs with consultant input.
• Monitor resident weights at admission, monthly, and during condition changes.
• Set and manage performance standards for service, improving efficiency and satisfaction.
• Ensure resource planning, cost control, and departmental processes.
• Supervise dietary staff, promoting accountability, safety, and hospitality.
• Duties as assigned.

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dietary Manager

What You Will Do

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the food service department
• Ensure proper preparation and service of therapeutic diets in compliance with physician orders and regulatory standards
• Complete assigned sections of the MDS and participate in developing and revising dietary care plans
• Plan and adjust menus to meet the nutritional needs of residents, including consultant review and follow-up on dietary recommendations
• Monitor and assess resident weights upon admission, monthly, and during any significant change in condition
• Set and manage performance standards for food service delivery, optimizing efficiency, quality, and satisfaction
• Ensure proper resource planning, cost control, and operational processes within the department
• Supervise and support dietary staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and hospitality
• Duties as assigned

What You Must Have

• Prior experience in food service management, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, regulatory dietary standards, and infection control procedures
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification
• Certified Dietary Manager or equivalent
