Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure aseptic packaging and instrumentation readiness for clinical use.

You will operate sterilization equipment, verify indicators, and sign off charts; interact with team to meet patient care needs; requires CRCST or CSPDT certification.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Technical/Vocational School [Preferred] Field of Study: in healthcare sterile processing
• Licenses and Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT [Required]

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
