Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a full-time Sterilization Technician to prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain a clean environment and support hospital operations across units.

The role requires High School Grad or equivalent and technical/vocational training; 1+ year of related experience; BLS certification preferred; the facility offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Sterilizes instruments following established protocols.
• Participates in in-service education programs and training.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Assembles instrument trays accurately.
• Documents procedures and maintains thorough records.
• Ensures all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized.
• Collaborates with team members to support hospital operations.
• Stocks patient care equipment efficiently.
• Handles specimens properly and ensures their correct disposition.
• Reviews and recommends changes to policies and procedures.
• Floats to other units as needed based on patient and census requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Returns sterile instruments to their proper location.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.70 - $28.31
