Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Pharmaceutical Care, Urbandale Clinic, is seeking a 90% Pharmacy Technician Certified or Trainee to join our team under pharmacist supervision. Responsibilities include prescription processing, verification, dispensing, and maintaining records in Willow Ambulatory and Epic.

National certification (PTCB or NHA) within one year; must meet ongoing education requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program or two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Prescription processing including entry, verification, and appropriateness checks.
Enter/verify patient coverage/third party information.
Correctly set up prescription fill/refill for pickup or delivery.
Document notes in Willow Ambulatory and/or Epic.
Assist with training of new technicians and student technicians.
