Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Pharmaceutical Care, seeks a 100% pharmacy technician to join the ACT Pharmacy team at ACTS. Under supervision, you will fill prescriptions, package medications, and coordinate services across ambulatory care pharmacies.

Roles include operating ScriptPro Robot, processing orders with complex billing, and assisting with training. Certification within one year and Iowa license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
• National certification through PTCB or NHA preferred or required within 1 year.
• Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Fill/refill prescriptions with accuracy and proper labeling.
• Package and prepare prescriptions for mailing and delivery.
• Maintain inventory and assist with narcotics/controlled substances records.
• Operate ScriptPro Robot and ensure daily maintenance.
• Answer phones and coordinate with ambulatory care teams.
• Assist in on-the-job training of new technicians.
