Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Optical Associate, Certified (ABO) in Austin, TX to assist customers with eyewear and lens needs. You will stock, price, and organize the Optical area, operate the POS, and process payments while delivering service aligned with Walmart standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with measurements, frame adjustments, and eyewear orders, plus educating customers on care and hygiene. A strong focus on accuracy and compliance is required to ensure a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• Active ABO certification with CE maintenance requirements.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must obtain state licensure within 18 months of hire or as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Stock and display merchandise in the Optical area and manage signage and pricing.
• Operate POS and process member purchases, returns and payments as needed.
• Assist with eyewear measurements, frame adjustments, and lens orders.
• Educate members on eyewear care and support contact lens handling where applicable.
