Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Lutherville, MD is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical operations in the Park Medical Associate Clinical Services Practice. The MA will administer medications and vaccines, obtain vital signs, and help maintain patient flow.

The ideal candidate will have CMA certification, completion of an accredited MA program, CPR certification, and at least one year of MA experience in primary care. This role is full-time and non-exempt with standard clinic hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant is required, with completion of CMA credential through AAMA or equivalent (RMA/AMT, NCRMA, NCMA, RCMAS, CCMA or RMA).
• Certification as CPR is required upon hire and must be recertified every two years.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and immunizations as prescribed.
• Obtains patient vital signs and records them accurately.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and ensures clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Ensures safe and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.

The Medical Assistant administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains inventory of appropriate supplies, ensures safe and efficient patient flow.

Location: 10755 Falls Road Ste 200 Lutherville, MD

Shift: Non-exempt - Full-time - 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday - 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.

What You'll Need to be Successful:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant required successful completion of the AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA (NAHP), NCMA(NCCT), RCMAS(NCMA), CCMA(NHA) or RMA (American Allied Health). Medical Assistant Certification, required within 3 months of hire. Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program provided eligibility for RMA(American Medical Technologists) exam. A valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
• One year experience preferred

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
