Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a savvy communications professional to shape narratives for the CEO, turning insights into speeches, remarks, podcasts, and interviews. You’ll monitor external conversations and maintain a living messaging bank to ensure consistency across all CEO appearances.

You’ll collaborate with Product PR, the Office of the CEO, Government Affairs, Investor Relations, and other teams to align on positioning, while drafting cue cards, Q&As, and post material for the CEO’s LinkedIn

Qualifications

• 8+ years in executive communications, speechwriting, corporate communications, journalism, or a similar field.
• Experience writing for a CEO or other senior spokesperson strongly preferred.
• Exceptional writing and editing.
• A portfolio of speeches, talk tracks, op-eds, or executive messaging that is concise, compelling, and clearly in someone else’s voice.
• Executive social media expertise.
• Proven experience running LinkedIn for a senior leader: writing posts that sound like the person, planning a content calendar, and using engagement data to improve results.
• Strong news and narrative judgment. A habit of reading the news and social conversation closely, spotting what’s gaining traction, and judging what matters, what doesn’t, and when to act.
• Experience with media monitoring or social listening tools is a plus.
• Fluency in the AI and enterprise technology landscape, or the curiosity to get there fast.
• High judgment and discretion. Able to handle sensitive topics and confidential information with care.

Responsibilities

• Keep a pulse on the outside narrative across media, social, and analyst commentary for the CEO and Salesforce.
• Maintain a living bank of messaging and approved stories to keep positioning on target.
• Work cross-functionally with Product PR, Office of the CEO, Government Affairs, Investor Relations, and others to align on messaging.
• Draft cue cards, talk tracks, scripts, and fireside chat questions from first draft to final under tight deadlines.
• Support media interviews by researching outlets and building key messages and Q&A.
• Help manage the CEO’s LinkedIn presence, publish posts, and track performance to sharpen future content.
