Job summary

Riverwoods Behavioral Health System located in Riverdale, Georgia, seeks a Chief Executive Officer to guide a premier behavioral health organization serving children, adolescents, adults, and families across the Atlanta region.

The CEO will oversee operations, finances, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance; drive growth, strategic partnerships, and community engagement while leading a multidisciplinary executive team focused on patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• BA in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Marketing or a clinical discipline; MBA/MHA preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in senior leadership/CEO role in a behavioral health, acute care, and/or managed care environment.
• Proven ability to lead licensure, accreditation, and compliance efforts in a behavioral health facility.
• Strong working knowledge of financial management and business development processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with governing body to develop annual operating budgets and strategic plans; ensures medical staff input via the Medical Director.
• Directs day-to-day hospital operations and staff to meet patient care and business objectives; ensures licensure, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
• Leads contract negotiations and payer relations to drive revenue growth and new services.
• Develops continuum of care including outpatient services and community programs.
• Oversees staff development and performance improvement; chairs meetings with governance and management teams.
• Fosters a culture of patient safety, quality outcomes, accountability, and operational excellence.
