Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking engineers to expand its Centrifugal Compressor Technology group. You will design integrally geared centrifugal compressors, perform aerodynamic sizing, and run rotor and structural analyses.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams across the project life cycle is essential. Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with CFD/FEA tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 3+ years of industry or related experience or equivalent masters-level research.
• Experience in turbomachinery and rotating equipment recommended.

Responsibilities

• Develop compressor arrangements and performance predictions to meet requirements.
• Perform aerodynamic design using 1D methods and CFD tools.
• Conduct rotordynamic analyses and design verification.
• Carry out bearing, gearing, and structural analyses to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with project managers and manufacturing teams through project life cycle.
• Communicate technical findings and test data through reports.
