Job summary

UCI Health seeks a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies across the hospital and clinics. You will also handle charging, billing, and logging of OR services, with daily biological testing and participation in improvement projects.

Successful candidates will be part of a high-volume health system, float between Orange and Irvine locations as needed, and work variable shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology.
• 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Must be willing to float between UCI Health locations.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for hospital and clinics.
• Charge, bill, and log service as well as patient charges for the OR.
• Perform daily biological testing and contribute to performance improvement projects.
