Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to perform decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies across hospital and clinics. The role includes charging, billing, and logging services, and requires daily biological testing with possible assignment to operating rooms.

The position requires completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program or 18 months of related experience, knowledge of infection control, and the ability to work variable shifts including evenings,

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program or 18 months of relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment.
• Charging, billing, and logging of service, including patient charges for the operating room.
• Daily biological testing and participation in improvement projects; float between locations as needed.
