Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment used throughout the hospital and clinics.

The role supports performance improvement projects and may require variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. A sterile processing certification or 18 months of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Central Sterile Tech is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment for the hospital and outlying clinics.
• Participates on special projects and department-wide performance improvement initiatives as requested.
