Job summary

UCI Health seeks an experienced Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for the hospital and clinics. You will participate in special projects and system-wide improvement efforts as requested by leadership.

The role requires completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program or equivalent experience, knowledge of infection control, and the ability to work variable shifts including evenings and weekends in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Formal sterilization training or program completion.
• Understanding of infection control practices and terminology.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize supplies and equipment for the department.
• Assist with department and center-wide performance improvement projects as needed.
