Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies across the hospital and its clinics. The role supports performance improvement initiatives and ensures sterile equipment is ready for patient care.

Successful candidates will have either an accredited Sterile Processing/Surgical Technology program or 18 months of relevant Sterile Processing experience, plus the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program or 18 months of Sterile Processing experience.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, cleans, processes and sterilizes supplies and equipment for the department.
• Participates in department and hospital-wide performance improvement projects.
