Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize supplies across the hospital and outpatient locations. The role supports charging and logging of OR services and requires daily biological testing.

You will participate in departmental and medical center-wide performance improvement projects and must be able to float to all UCI Health locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology.
• 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Willing to float to all locations of UCI Health as needed.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment.
• Handle charging, billing and logging of services and OR patient charges.
• Perform daily biological testing.
• Participate in special projects and performance improvement initiatives.
• Float to all UCI Health locations as needed.
