Job summary

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, a 24-bed acute care facility in Southeast Louisiana, seeks a Central Service Supervisor to oversee daily Central Service operations. The role includes instrument processing, supervision of staff, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure patient care supply readiness.

The position offers variable shifts with additional pay for holidays, weekends, or certifications, and requires experience in healthcare housekeeping or sterilization.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in housekeeping in a healthcare setting or in the sterilizing, processing, assembling, or distributing of medical supplies.
• Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the OR RN Manager to ensure quality of care of the instrument and equipment processing to include cleaning and decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution to the patient care givers.
• Supervise employees and serve as the resource to resolve problems and/or answer questions.
• Maintains online inventory and material stock request in Peoplesoft system.
• Perform entry, maintenance and deletion of the online PeopleSoft Inventory Receipt Program.
• Serve as the liaison between the Central Service Department and other departments within LKMC, customers and vendors.
