Qualifications

• Two years of healthcare experience in PAS, Scheduling & PFS, or physician office preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding.
• Certified Medical Coder or minimum one year physician coding strongly preferred.
• Verbal ability to communicate effectively with other staff members and hospital personnel.
• Computer skills; able to create spreadsheets in Excel.
• Willingness to be cross trained to other areas.
• Must adhere to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct and report issues.

Responsibilities

• Schedule services for outpatient ancillary and surgical departments.
• Handle a high volume of incoming calls to schedule services.
• Register patients and verify benefits for the TX/OK Region.
• Coordinate with ancillary departments, physicians, and offices.
• Work Monday through Friday with potential after-hours and weekend assignments.
