Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a Centralized Scheduler in Fairhaven, MA. The role supports revenue cycle activities with appointment scheduling, pre-registration, and payer communication.

The position follows a hybrid schedule at the Southcoast Business Center and requires attention to patient liability estimates, insurance verification, and timely coordination with physicians and departments. Ideal candidates have an Associates Degree, Medical Terminology certification, and

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate required.
• Experience with CPT & ICD-10 coding is a plus.
• Strong customer service and multi-tasking capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Enter orders and schedule/cancel/reschedule appointments and surgeries.
• Complete pre-registration with demographic data and insurance verification.
• Determine patient liability for self-pay and out-of-network patients and communicate estimates.
• Obtain prior authorization for out-of-network payers; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with OR and ancillary departments to avoid scheduling conflicts.
